Happy Wednesday fashionistas!

I thought it would be fun to play with brighter prints and bolder accents this week, especially since last week’s outfit post was more focused on neutral tones.

Here, I’ve styled bright green floral high waisted shorts by accenting the cobalt blue hues in the print. To bring out the cobalt, I’ve chosen a pair of kitten heels in the same color to emphasize this radiant blue in the outfit. Since I want all the focus to be on the shorts, I kept things simple on top with a white, flowy camisole.

In my opinion, any large bag in this look would overwhelm the entire outfit–so I stuck with a black tassle clutch. The clutch is still a good size, big enough to fit my full size wallet, phone and some other odds and ends. It’s a timeless piece that dresses up the entire look, making it appropriate for a “grabbing drinks after work” outing.

As for accessories, I chose a pair of jeweled chandelier statement earrings to contrast the simplicity of the camisole. To match the jeweled earrings, I also ended up using my jeweled shoe clips on the kitten heels. Sometimes, I like to style the shoe clips on the side of the shoes, instead of just clipping them in the front. This gives an unconventional and unique twist to any simple pair of heels!

Hope you enjoyed this rather colorful ensemble! Happy styling fashionistas,
