Happy Monday loves!

I’ve had this gingham shirt just sitting in my closet for the longest time now–haven’t really gotten a chance to style it until now. I’ve seen this print pop up in multiple stores, beginning in March/April. What draws me to this particular print is the fact that it’s a spin off of the plaid shirt. I can’t usually pull off plaid, but with gingham, there’s a different kind of feel to the print.
Gingham print is essentially an evenly striped/checked pattern of a uniform color. I’ve decided to style my navy gingham printed shirt by layering it on top of a flare skirt. I love how the navy color pops out of the sheer paneled skirt, allowing it to be the focus of the look. The sheer paneled hem on the dress also gives the look an extra, unique detail.
Keeping my accessories and footwear simple, I finished the look with a black gallery tote and some white snakeskin printed heels. The neutral accessories allow the gingham print to be the center of attention in the whole outfit! This look is great for a casual day in the office, or a lunch catch up with some friends.
Happy styling fashionistas,
