Can’t believe that it’s already mid-November! Weirdly enough, the weather in London hasn’t gotten very cold. It’s brisk, but it’s nothing like the chill that’s usually in New York around this time of year.
I’ve definitely been influenced by the colder weather as of late–sticking to a lot of cool tones with grays and blues. Here, I’ve styled together a herringbone blazer (with elbow pads!), a windowpane peplum top and some dark wash boyfriend jeans for the perfect casual meets chic kind of preppy outfit.
Herringbone is definitely one of my go-to materials when the weather gets colder. The texture and fabric resembles wool, which is perfect for keeping warm but avoiding the bulk when it comes to heavy material layering.
I’m also a HUGE fan of elbow-pads when it comes to my blazers…they add the perfect contrast detail to any jacket! And finally, this tutu tumbler is basically my life at the moment. With a double ceramic wall, it keeps my morning coffee piping hot 🙂
What are some of your favorite pieces you can’t live without during the cold weather season? Happy styling fashionistas,
