Happy Monday, loves! Wanted to share an amazing experience from the past weekend with you guys today! I can’t say that I’m always a fan of visiting museums…but when an exhibit as special as this one comes around, I’d gladly haul my butt up to 83rd street to check it out!
The particular exhibit I’m referring to is “China: Through the Looking Glass.” So many of my friends and co-workers have gone to see the exhibit, and of course, it comes highly rated–to the point where the display has been extended until September 7th! (So no excuses, go see it ASAP!) The whole exhibit is based around ancient and modern fashions that have been influenced by asian culture. Some of these dresses in the exhibit, as well as whole displays, were absolutely breathtaking! From the gowns of Karl Lagerfeld to Tom Ford to Chanel, and even Robert Cavalli! If you’re a fashion & history lover, this is for you!
After viewing the exhibit, we made our way up to the Met’s Rooftop Garden & Bar. Gorgeous weather, breathtaking views…I couldn’t have thought of a better way to spend a nice Sunday in the city.
